Paramount confirmed on Monday that Coming to America sequel will be in theaters next year 2020. Not much has been revealed about the upcoming sequel but in the first Coming to America Eddie Murphy, star of the movie goes to America to avoid marriage. In the upcoming sequel according to the deadlines Akeem, Murphy’s character in the movie learns about a long lost son that he wants to take back to his country to reveal to him the throne of Zamunda. The untitled sequel is scheduled to hit theaters August 7, 2020.
I’m interested to see how this new Coming to America sequel is going to aspire being that the first one came out in 1988. This movie should be very interesting because with Eddie Murphy avoiding marriage he went to America and met somebody so years later of him having a long lost son this movie should be different.
What made them wait so many years to make another Coming to America? How do you think the ratings will turn out for the movie? Will the quality be interesting? How are they going to make it similar to the 1988 Coming to America?
