On Thursday, January 17, 2019 two victims were shot and wounded in the parking lot of a church by the name of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. The shooting took place about 27 miles away from Houston, Texas. No suspect was taken in custody. As of 9:40 p.m. Thursday night one of the victims died and the second victim is in critical condition. The only video footage that is active at the moment is the police officers taping the scene, other than that no other videos are posted or found of the shooting.
Even though the event took place in Texas, I encourage everybody to be aware because it seems like these two victims were unaware of this situation occurring. A shooting outside in a parking lot of a church is a little sketchy. The fact that not much information was found is a little disturbing but the situation just occurred. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and make sure when going out of any place at any time you are surrounded by other people so that way you all can sort of protect each other.
This story is really a tragedy for two people to be in a situation like this. Questions are definitely in the air as why they got shot. How did one die and one end up in critical condition? If the church has cameras in the parking lot how didn’t they catch the suspect or even get an idea of who they could be? Were the victims in any type of situation? What was going on at the church on a Thursday night that they were there for? Are the victims females or males? My list could honestly go on and on because those questions are definitely in the air, but more information should be released shortly.
